Car slalom and slalom competitions karting will be the only two disciplines that will use electric vehicles for the event. Both events will have two drivers from each nation, with a mixed duo (one man and one woman). Auto slalom is a race against the clock through a series of low- and medium-speed turns on a set course. The fastest competitors will compete to win gold, silver or bronze medals for their nation.
The Opel Corsa e-Rally "ideal" for slalom
Launched in 2019, the Opel Corsa-e Rally is used in rally competition in a championship coordinated by Opel and its partner, ADAC. It has a fully environmentally sustainable charging infrastructure with fast charging capable of up to 25% in 80 minutes with a 100 kW charger. “With its 260 Nm of torque and great agility, the Corsa-e Rally is ideal for slaloms and is therefore the perfect choice,” said Opel Motorsport Director Jörg Schrott. “The FIA Motorsport Games promises to be a high-profile international event that we are very happy to support. We are delighted to have the opportunity to once again demonstrate the performance of the electric car model participating in the world's first single-make rally cup. »
