The rain caused some damage on the 12th special of the Rally from Finland. Kalle Rovanperä was most comfortable in the wet conditions, setting the best time in 9'57″6. Already 2nd during SS11, the Finn confirms and even climbs to 3rd place overall, ahead of Elfyn Evans who conceded 3″1 on this special. The championship leader is slowly approachingOtt Tänak, who lost 2″5 during this stage. The Estonian still widened the gap a little further with Esapekka Lappi (4th, +4″3) who is now relegated to 8″4 behind the leader.
Hard blow on the other hand for Craig Breen. L’Irlandais a tapé un talus à pleine vitesse sur une crête et a endommagé sa Ford Puma. Arrêté sur la spéciale, le pilote M-Sport n’a pas pu repartir. Son équipe a confirmé son abandon quelques minutes après la fin de la spéciale.

This accident allows Thierry Neuville de remonter à la 5e place au général. Le Belge a aussi dépassé Takamoto Katsuta, qui est parti à la faute à quelques centaines de mètres de l’arrivée et a concédé 13 secondes sur le pilote Hyundai.
