Third pilot Hyundai ce week-end du côté de la Finlande, Craig Breen signed the best time reference of SS2 ahead of his teammate Ott Tänak and Elfyn Evans (Toyota). Avec un temps de 5’44″8, l’Irlandais a devancé les deux hommes de 3 dixièmes et 1″2 respectivement.
Leader after SS1, Takamoto Katsuta (Toyota) suffered a big scare when he lost control of his Yaris in a fast turn in the last sector. Having spun, the Japanese was able to control his car and left without visible damage. He finished 10th just over 21 seconds behind Craig Breen.
SS2 standings
Overall, Ott Tänak is the new strong man. He relegates Craig Breen to 0″7 and Elfyn Evans to 1″8. Condemned to open the road all day, Sébastien Ogier (Toyota) is 7th at 5″4.
