Finland - SS3: Lappi responds to Tänak, unlucky Fourmaux

Esapekka Lappi beat Ott Tänak by 3 tenths on SS3 of Rally Finland. Adrien Fourmaux had to stop during the special after hitting a stone.

Finland – SS3: Lappi responds to Tänak, unlucky Fourmaux

Esapekka Lappi is in the mix at home. The Finn achieved the scratch during SS3 with a time of 9'59″0, just 3 tenths ahead Ott Tänak. The pilot Hyundai reste en tête du Rally from Finland with 5 seconds ahead of Lappi.

Craig Breen is the first pilot M-Sport au classement de l’ES3, avec un chrono 3″1 plus lent que celui de la Toyota n°4. Kalle Rovanperä s’accroche malgré sa position de balayeur : 4e de la spéciale (+3″3), il remonte à la 5e place au général et profite de la mauvaise étape de Thierry Neuville, only 9th in SS3 with 14″5 behind Lappi. The Belgian fell to 8th place overall.

Bad special also for Adrien fourmaux. The Frenchman had to stop for several minutes in the middle of the special after hitting a stone on the inside of a fast bend. A steering problem forced the Lille rider to cut his effort, before leaving at a slow pace to join the assistance.
