Passed with his faithful Mitsubishi in group A since the recent rally from Ternois, Victorien Heuninck won on the selective roads of the south of Avesnois, his first scratch victory on French soil. Embarrassed in SS1 and therefore credited with a fixed time, the still young Linsellois went on the offensive again at the start of the Sunday stage which he dominated from start to finish despite the competition. Leader of the R1 duo present, Saint Requier won a new silver medal ahead of the Briton Hendy who discovered the event with pleasure. Faced with gearbox problems, Fouteret nevertheless finished just off the podium with a clear success in group N.

Beaten in his category by Sorin at the start of the course, Delair finished with a bang and stole 5th place at the wire in Berthelot. In the group F2000, Croquet had free rein after Mees disappeared mid-race and repeated his 2017 performance in front of Waroquier. B.Sailly
