En difficulté du côté de la Sardaigne, Elfyn Evans (Toyota) s’est offert son premier scratch du week-end. Avec un chrono en 8’43“2, le Gallois a devancé son coéquipier Sébastien Ogier et Ott Tänak (Hyundai) de seulement 2 et 3 dixièmes respectivement.
Overall, Sébastien Ogier is giving himself some breathing room in the race for 2nd place against Dani Sordo (Hyundai). The Tricolore trails him by 6” before the last special of the first loop of the day. Ott Tänak is still leading with more than 4 seconds ahead.
Despite his victory in this SS11, Elfyn Evans remains away from the race for victory. The Welshman is 4th, more than a minute from the lead.
The start of SS12 is scheduled for 11:38 a.m.
