In this first special of the day where some preferred to keep their tires for the Power Stage (SS20), Elfyn Evans (Toyota) set the best time. The Welshman covered the 15,25 kilometers of SS17 in 8'45"4, thus ahead of Ott Tänak (Hyundai) and Sébastien Ogier (Toyota).
This special had no impact on the general classification. The last driver mentioned remains in the lead with 34” ahead of Elfyn Evans.
