Kalle Rovanperä continues to break records. The reigning world champion WRC reached a new level during the Rally Monte Carlo on Saturday. With the scratch during SS9 between Le Fugeret and Thorame-Haute, the Finn signed his 100th special victory in his WRC career. At the age of 22 years, 3 months and 20 days, he became the youngest driver to reach the hundredth mark in the history of the championship.

The Toyota driver even increased his total to 101 special victories by winning on SS11 later in the morning. He becomes the 35th driver to reach the 100 scratch mark in the WRC, a ranking dominated by Sébastien Loeb with his 935 special victories. He joins a closed club where 5 of the drivers of the 2023 championship appear: Sébastien Ogier (6th – 663 scratches), Ott Tänak (17th – 325 scratches), Thierry Neuville (18th – 323 scratch), Dani Sordo (23rd – 219 scratch) and Elfyn Evans (30th – 131 scratch).
