Kenya – SS10: Neuville continues, Tänak loses everything
Contrary feelings among Hyundai. Thierry Neuville set the best time on SS10 of the Safari Rally Kenya, his 2nd consecutive scratch time this Saturday.
If the #11 Hyundai works well, the #8 had a big problem during the special. Ott Tänak had to stop a few kilometers from the finish, suspecting a mechanical problem with his car. Fourth in the standings before SS10, the Estonian will therefore lose his place in the top 10.
Cette mésaventure va donner un peu d’air aux pilotes Toyota, qui trustent toujours le top 3 au général. Kalle Rovanperä (2e, +2″2) a consolidé son avance sur Elfyn Evans (3e, +6″6). Takamoto Katsuta n’a pas été aussi performant mais le Japonais a été victime d’une crevaison sur la 2e partie de spéciale. Il concède 17 secondes à Neuville, qui se rapproche du podium.
Sébastien Ogier achieved the 4th time of the special, 9″1 behind the Belgian, and Sébastien Loeb conceded 19″4 over the 31 kilometers of SS10. As a reminder, the Alsatian has the role of sweeper this Saturday.
