This time, the duel is well and truly underway. Elfyn Evans and Kalle Rovanperä have opened up a gap at the top of Safari Rally Kenya and are in the fight for victory. During SS11, it was the Welshman who won with a time of 18'05″3, just 3″6 ahead of the Finn. In the general classification, Evans is 15″8 behind the leader.
Toyota signe aussi un nouveau quadruplé sur cette 11e spéciale puisque Takamoto Katsuta et Sébastien Ogier respectively signed the 3rd and 4th times of SS11.
Thierry Neuville lost a little time in his quest for the podium with the 5th time, 7″8 behind Rovanperä and 2″8 behind Katsuta. Sebastian Loeb finished 6th in the special, while his teammate Craig Breen had to finish the special at low speed due to a puncture.
