Kenya – SS13: Ogier emerges from chaos, Neuville trapped

Sébastien Ogier spoke about all his experience during this difficult 13th special in Kenya. The French driver set the best time of the long stage around the Sleeping Warrior (31,04 km) in 19'19″1. He leads a Toyoya quadruple with Kalle Rovanperä 2nd (+3″4). The Finn once again widened the gap on Elfyn Evans (4th, +16″6). In the general classification, the Welshman is now relegated to more than 40 seconds.

The big loser of the special is called Thierry Neuville. The pilot Hyundai, qui venait de récupérer la 3e place dans l’ES12, a tout perdu en s’arrêtant en début de spéciale. Le Belge aurait tapé un arbre et a été contraint de s’immobiliser.

Cet accident place Ogier à la quatrième position au général, ce qui signifie que toutes les Toyota sont dans le top 4. Sébastien Loeb also experienced a complicated special, finishing more than 2 minutes behind the best time. The Alsatian was the victim in quick succession of a loose tire then a ruptured suspension on the left front.
