Kenya – SS15: Rovanperä continues its momentum

Kalle Rovanperä was once again impressive during SS15 of the Safari Rally Kenya by setting the best time, 7 seconds ahead of Elfyn Evans. He widened the gap at the head of the rally further.

Kenya – SS15: Rovanperä continues its momentum

Nothing seems to be able to stop him. Kalle Rovanperä set the best time of SS15 in 6″56″6, the only driver under the 7 minute mark on this 13,3 kilometer long special. The Finn extends his lead in this Rally from Kenya, now with a gap of 47″6 between him and Elfyn Evans, who came 2nd in SS15.

Behind, most of the drivers seem to be able to get to the finish line and avoid being trapped by the “fech-fech” which Oliver Solberg suffered during SS14. Thierry Neuville, who is making his return after his sad retirement on Saturday, achieved the 3rd time (+8″6) ahead of the two Frenchmen, Sébastien Loeb (4nd, +10″0) and Sébastien Ogier (5rd, +13″0). Adrien fourmaux set the 8th fastest time at the wheel of his Ford (+23″8).
