Sébastien Loeb set the best time on SS2 of the Safari Rally in the early morning. Ogier (3rd) and Fourmaux (4th) are well placed. Tänak suffered a broken gear lever.

Kenya – SS2: Scratch time for Loeb, problem for Tänak

The two legends of WRC are already on pace in Kenya. After the best time Sébastien Ogier Thursday during the Super Special, it’s Sébastien Loeb who took the scratch time on SS2 of the Safari Rally on Friday morning.

The pilot M-Sport Ford a signé un temps en 14’18″8 malgré un petit contact avec un arbre en milieu de spéciale. Le nonuple champion du monde a devancé Elfyn Evans (+0″2) et Sébastien Ogier (+0″5), qui garde la tête du classement général. Adrien fourmaux also got off to a good start in this Safari Rally with the 4th fastest time during SS2.

As for Hyundai, il y a déjà un petit problème pour Thank you : its gear lever broke within the first few kilometers. Disturbed, the Estonian lost 36″4 seconds on Loeb.
