Kenya – SS4: Rovanperä impresses, time lost for Ogier and Loeb

Kalle Rovanperä continue d’impressionner. En position de balayeur du Safari Rally, le Finlandais a tout de même signé le meilleur temps en 17’29″9. Le pilote Toyota signe son 2e temps scratch d’affilé, après celui de l’ES3.

Ott Tänak got back into rhythm despite his gear lever problem. The Estonian set the 2nd fastest time in the special, 4″1 behind Rovanperä. Takamoto Katsuta is still in the mix, with the 3rd time 7″6 behind his teammate.

32 kilometers long, the Kedong special was difficult for many drivers. Sébastien Ogier and Sébastien Loeb respectively lost 20″6 and 26″1 seconds compared to the best time. Ogier also lost the lead in the general classification to Elfyn Evans.

Thierry Neuville et Gus Greensmith ont été les grands perdants de l’ES4. Le pilote Hyundai a été victime d’une perte de puissance en fin de spéciale et a perdu près d’une minute. Quand au pilote M-Sport, une crevaison sur la Ford l’a obligé à s’arrêter pour changer de pneumatique.
