Sébastien Ogier set a second consecutive fastest time during SS6 just ahead of Takamoto Katsuta, who seems to become his main opponent in Kenya.

Kenya – SS6: Ogier confirms, Katsuta in ambush

Sébastien Ogier confirms its good start to rally. In SS6 of Safari Rally Kenya, the eight-time world champion set the best time in 6'41″4, just ahead of his teammate Takamoto Katsuta (+0″4). The Japanese has been on an excellent pace since Friday morning and is 8″6 behind Ogier overall.

The Toyota trustent toujours les 4 premières places au classement global, mais avec cette fois-ci Rovanperä à la 3e position devant Elfyn Evans. Mais les écarts sont toujours très serrés, même après 6 spéciales.

The Hyundai reviennent dans le match puisque Thierry Neuville (5nd, +3″4) and Ott Tänak (4e, +2″7) sont à quelques dixièmes des Toyota. Pour M-Sport, le rythme n’est pas là : Craig Breen fails 7 seconds behind the best time, and Gus Greensmith lost 20 seconds in the 6th special.
