Lacomy in the end at the Ain-Jura Rally

With the return to its usual date in the calendar, this rally found a much larger entry list than last year. As part of championship 2^e Division, only three crews made the trip including Lionel Comole who came into the lead at the end of the 1^re step before losing 3′ on a scoring error. Besson took the lead by only 2” ahead of Esparcieux, 4” ahead of Ravoire and 5” ahead of Pezzutti. The next day, Comole scored all the scratch points to move up from 98th to 5th place overall and score valuable points in the championship, in which he now occupies 2nd place.^e place. Lacomy came back to the leaders throughout the day and won by 22'' over Pezutti and 51'' over Esparcieux who, like last year, finished on the podium after a great fight with Ravoire. In Group N, after his retirement last year, Mollas set all the best times to win by more than 2' over his closest opponent. In Group A, Hugon took the lead at the end of SS3, and won with more than 2'40'' ahead of Rousselet (Peugeot 206).
