Super favorite, Beaubelique immediately took off on a greasy and tricky terrain. After the 2e loop, he already had a 32” lead over Faucher while Lobry who had to deal with major gearbox problems. Shortly after the start of SS5, Beaubelique made a mistake, remained behind and offered leadership to Faucher who returned to St Yrieix at the end of 1re stage with a lead of 1'37'' over Longépé who did not take long to understand the instructions for the Clio 4T. The next day, in the 1re loop, Pijassou and Patier raised their voices. Faucher did not take any risks and managed his lead. In the last ES, Pijassou lost to Patier who made the horses talk and Faucher, who won his first rally national, achieving flawless results. With his 106 S16 N2, Rougier flew over Group N. G.
