Explanations of the Mont-Blanc Rally after the cancellation of SS8
Le Rally du Mont-Blanc had to cancel the last special on Friday September 3 due to a crowd of spectators. The day after this altercation, the organizers wanted to dot the “i” via a message published on social networks.
“After the events unworthy of our sport that occurred yesterday on SS8 and more precisely in the village of Biot, the videos of which everyone was able to see, we would like to remind you that it is absolutely essential to respect the safety instructions of the marshals.
Through their disrespectful behavior a small group of spectators managed to spoil a moment which should be a celebration of motorsport, especially this year with the presence of several rally legends.
The disappointment was of course great on the side of the municipality of Biot which supports us and which we still thank greatly, on the side of the vast majority of spectators, of our organization but also and above all of the crews that you all came to support.
The safety of all must be our priority for the sustainability of our event, we therefore invite you once again to scrupulously follow the recommendations and instructions of the safety cars and teams on the ground so as not to have to cancel others ES today. Good show ! »
