Winner of the last rally in Mexico, Sebastien Loeb hopes to repeat the same performance. The issue is twofold. The Alsatian must first catch up on Mikko Hirvonen in the championship. Beaten last year by Sebastien Ogier, the seven-time world champion finally has the opportunity to take his revenge.

“The DS3 WRC were very successful in Mexico, but it is a rally where the Citroëns have always dominated the competition, notes Sébastien Loeb. If the weather is good in the Faro region, we will be sure of the real competitiveness of the cars in relatively standard conditions, that is to say close to those we encounter on several other rallies. This rally is a concentrate of all the difficulties of the Championship. The rhythm changes often, from rapid passages to more sinuous ones, with many “skies” which require particularly precise notes. For us, the objective is to do as well as in Mexico, that is to say, to win! » This is informed competition.
