Sébastien Loeb will not see the arrival of Rally of the Acropolis. Back in WRC for the first time since Kenya last June and a time leader of the Greek event, the nine-time world champion had to resolve to abandon.
Stopped in his tracks this Saturday after the alternator belt of his Ford Puma broke, Sébastien Loeb initially confirmed his retirement for the rest of the day, hoping to get back on the road this Sunday. Finally, the Habs will not put on their weekend suit again.
Heartbreaking scenes as Seb and Isabelle try to conduct repairs after SS8 on Saturday morning.
Unfortunately, the crew ran out of time which means they will be retired for the day.

M-Sport has in fact confirmed that Sébastien Loeb's retirement was definitive and that he would not participate in the special stages and the Power Stage on Sunday. A new blow for the Alsatian who was in a good position to achieve an 81e WRC victory.
