Julien Maurin (Ford Fiesta WRC) took back command of the Rally Lyon-Charbonnières by taking the scratch in SS9 and gaining more than six seconds from his rival Jean-Marie Cuoq (Citroën C4 WRC). The latter cedes the lead of the race 4 seconds behind the Fiesta WRC. Lionel Baud (Peugeot 307 WRC) remains on the provisional podium with 23 seconds ahead of the C4 WRC of David Salanon. Eric Brunson completes the top five in his Subaru Impreza WRC.
