Julien Maurin wins his first victory in the French Rally Championship at Lyon-Charbonnières. The driver of the Ford Fiesta WRC managed to outrun the Citroën C4 WRC of Jean-Marie Cuoq who failed in second place ahead of the Peugeot 307 WRC of Lionel Baud who completes the podium. Eric Brunson placed fourth in his Subaru Impreza WRC while Jean-Charles Beaubelique completed the top five in his C4 WRC. Ludovic Gal wins the Michelin Trophy in his Fiesta S2000 while Crédric Robert wins the Citroën Racing Trophy. Rémi Jouines wins the first round of the Opel Adam Cup.
