Stéphane Sarrazin (Ford Fiesta) set the provisional best time for the first special of the Rally du Mont-Blanc – Morzine, cinquième manche du Championnat de France des Rallyes. Le pilote Toyota en WEC ahead of double title holder Julien Maurin (Ford Fiesta) by 3″4. Frédéric Comte places his Citroën Xsara in third position at 4″1.
Lionel Baud (Ford Fiesta) et Jean-Marie Cuoq (Citroën C4) complètent le top 5. Jérôme Chavanne et Patrick Rouillard hissent leurs Porsche 911 en 7e et 8e positions à plus de 11″5 juste devant Yoann Bonato (Peugeot 208 T16 R5).
