By signing the scratch in the SS2 of Rally du Mont-Blanc – Morzine, Julien Maurin (Ford Fiesta) took control of the event. The reigning French Champion is more than 15″ ahead of Lionel Baud’s Fiesta and more than 21″ ahead of Jean-Marie Cuoq’s Citroën C4.
Overall, Maurin precedes Baud by 16″3 and Stéphan Sarrazin (Ford Fiesta) by 23″2. Jean-Marie Cuoq and Pierre Roché (Ford Fiesta) complete the top 5. Yoann Bonato (Peugeot 208 T16 R5) is sixth in the provisional ranking. Note that the special was marked by the crash of Frédéric Comte, third in the standings after SS1. The ES is currently neutralized.
