Julien Maurin (Ford Fiesta RS WRC) widens the gap again at the head of the Rally du Mont-Blanc, sixth round of the French Rally Championship. The French Champion set the best time over the 27 km of Sommand and is ahead of another Fiesta RS, that of David Salanon, by 13″6. Jean-Marie Cuoq (Citroën C4 WRC) took 3rd place, but lost 17″1 to Maurin. Overall, Maurin now has a 26″3 lead over Cuoq and 43″8 over Salanon, moving up to 3rd place ahead of Lionel Baud (Ford Fiesta RS WRC) and Pierre Roché (Mini JCW).
