Le Rally Monte-Carlo 2022 has a new solitary leader in the person of Sébastien Ogier. Avec un 2e scratch consécutif, le pilote Toyota termine la première boucle de la journée en tête du classement général. Au retour au parc d’assistance, l’octuple champion du monde compte 5“4 d’avance sur Sébastien Loeb who had been in the lead since Friday and finished SS11 in 2nd position.
Overall, the two Sébastiens are now alone in the world since Elfyn Evans, who was a little less than 10 seconds behind at the start of SS11, made a mistake in the last sector and was unable to restart despite help from spectators. For this reason, Craig Breen recovers 3rd place but is pushed back more than a minute from the lead.
