Thierry Neuville wins his first special in this Monte-Carlo 2022 while Sébastien Ogier performs a good SS to give himself almost 25 seconds of margin over Sébastien Loeb.

Monte-Carlo – SS15: Neuville the fastest, Ogier takes off

We had to wait for the 15th special of this Rally Monte Carlo to see a Hyundai sign a scratch time. This shows the difficulties of the South Korean manufacturer. A victory to be credited to Thierry Neuville, last representative in the running, who beat Sébastien Ogier and Takamoto Katsuta of 1“9 and 3“6 respectively.

Overall, Sébastien Loeb takes off as he is ahead of Sébastien Loeb by 4 seconds, bringing his lead to 6 seconds before the last two special stages. Fourth in SS24, Craig Breen seems to be heading towards a podium in the Monegasque city since Kalle Rovanperä let almost 25 seconds slip away from the Irishman.
