Sébastien Ogier still impresses. Deprived of his hybrid system for this SS4, the Frenchman still took the scratch, the 4th in four special stages. In 11’44″7, the eight-time world champion beat Elfyn Evans by 2″1. Enough to disgust the Welshman, who is now 11″3 behind his teammate overall. Rally Montecarlo.

The two drivers broke away from the rest of the peloton. A three-way battle is forming for 3rd place overall between Thierry Neuville, Ott Tänak and Kalle Rovanperä. After SS4, it is the Belgian who occupies 3rd position, 28″2 behind Sébastien Ogier. Pierre-Louis Loubet, in difficulty at the end of the special with a puncture alert on his Ford Puma, retained his 7th place overall ahead of Lappi and Katusta. The Japanese woke up on this 4th special with the 4th time.
