Sébastien Ogier was he stung by Elfyn Evans during the previous special? The Frenchman, who gave up his first scratch during SS6, regained his seat during SS7. There Toyota n°17 was the fastest on this 7th special of the Rally Monte-Carlo, with a time of 11'38″7, 1″6 ahead of Elfyn Evans. The eight-time champion WRC increases his lead at the same time with this 6th scratch in 7 special stages, now 39 seconds ahead of Kalle Rovanperä and Thierry Neuville.

Still on the attack after her puncture this morning, Elfyn Evans pounces on Ott Tänak and gets closer to the podium. The Welshman is only 4 seconds behind the Estonian. Same pattern for Takamoto Katsuta, who scrounges several seconds per stage from Dani Sordo.
