Firste edition of Cigalois was won by Cardénas who signed his 5e victory of the season. Friday evening, Trivino (Megane kit car) took the lead in the rally in front of Brunet and Cardénas in Ferrières, former ES of the Critérium des Cévennes. He continued this momentum on Sunday morning before being betrayed by a gearbox seal, forcing him to retire. Cardénas took over, followed first by Brunet to maintain a 30” advantage at the end of the rally. Brunet, suffering from a power steering failure (SS 7), could not resist the return of the nine-time winner of the event, De Meyer, initially struggling during SS 1, contested at night. For the third step on the podium, the fight between Brunet (DA failure, SS6) and Pougnant ended in favor of the driver of the 306 for 1”. Anthérieu, at their heels, came off the road at Col de Bane. Nicolas, very fast at the end of the event, climbed to 5e “scratch” place, preceding an impressive Léo Rossel who, for a test on a 208 VTI R2, was very fast. Despite engine sensor problems, Baldini ended up ahead of Rouquette in group N. A. Lauret
