Après son forfait en Sardaigne ce week-end, Hyundai offre une nouvelle chance à son jeune pilote. Peter Solberg testé positif à la Covid-19 avait empêché son fils de participer à la 5e manche du WRC.
The 19-year-old driver has received a new opportunity in the i20 Cup WRC. His fine 7th place at the Arctic Rally Finland reassured the team leaders to give the Swede a drive again. Oliver Solberg will discover driving on asphalt after having evolved on the ice and snow of Finland. “It’s a good opportunity for me to gain experience on asphalt. […] I looked at dash cams from previous years and the roads look great.” The Hyundai team has won the last two editions of this rally, with Sébastien Loeb et Thierry Neuville.
The 2021 edition will begin on June 12.
