Faced with current uncertainties regarding the coronavirus pandemic, the organizers of the Rally de Corte (Corsica) have decided not to organize their event in 2020, scheduled for September 18 to 20.
“Despite an enormous burst of energy from an entire team of volunteers, for the organization of the 33rd Rally of Corte Center Corse scheduled for September 18, 19 and 20, we consulted a lot, studied all the technical possibilities, but in front of uncertainty and in the face of a possible resumption of the epidemic, our primary responsibility remains the safety of everyone involved, whether competitors, officials, spectators as well as the volunteers who share our passion for the motorsport, and we thank them all for their support, indicates the press release published on the Facebook page of ASA Restonica Corte.
Faithful to our commitments which go beyond the sporting aspect, and in agreement with the Mayor of Corte, we realized that it would be very difficult to implement the recommendations required in the face of Covid-19, and therefore we have decided to cancel the 2020 edition.
We ask you to remain careful, to take care of yourself and we look forward to seeing you for the 2021 edition. Thank you all for your understanding. »
