While the very long second stage of the 70e rally of Finland had already been lively with the exits of Takamoto Katsuta or Kalle Rovanperä and the withdrawal due to mechanical problems of Thierry Neuville, a final twist occurred late in the evening. Summoned at 21 p.m. (20 p.m. in France) by the college of commissioners, Sébastien Ogier had to explain why his helmet was not properly attached during stage 12. Photos and videos were shown to the driver who was accompanied by Julien Ingrassia and team manager Kaj Lindström.
These adventures obviously have no consequences on the French's chances of being titled at the end of this event.
