In the chasing group, Lappi overtakes his teammate by a handful of tenths Thierry Neuville (Hyundai). The positions are otherwise unchanged. In WRC2, Yohan Rossel (Citroën) lost around twenty seconds to Gus Greensmith (Skoda) and reported a vague problem with his car.
The next special, Amarante 1, 37,24 km, is scheduled for 10:05 a.m.
