Rally – Cuoq, a first in Xsara

Rally of Val d’Ance. May 13-14

Using an Xsara WRC for the first time, Cuoq dominated an event marked by numerous tire errors and punctures. Habouzit out (mechanics), A. Masclaux and Cellier were the smartest; the latter passing Clairet for the podium in the final ES, as Guiot will do with Abrial and Fraisse, who flew over the Gr R in front of Mounard and Tête. The feat of the rally goes to the young Boulakhlas who, with his 106 S16, led the Gr. N from start to finish and entered the Top 10, Lévêque and Vignier completing the group podium. F. Guénot
