Three Basque drivers monopolized the podium in an event with a very small number of entries but a series of stunts. The first twist occurred on SS1 with the retirement of Jacob (206), one of the leaders of the F2000, capable of finishing in the Top 3. This suited Dupouy (306), boxing in the same category, who was in the lead after the first three times but lost ballast in the next one before giving up (direction). Able to shake up the hierarchy, Purrey (Mitsubishi Evo) made a mistake in SS4. Hirigoyen then pointed the snout of his Fiesta R5 in front of his “compatriots” Duigou (Mitsubishi) and Radet (208 R2) between whom slipped Lacouture (BMW Compact), very brilliant on Sunday morning. He was penalized at the end (capricious belt) but preserved the victory in F2000 ahead of an excellent Roget (106). For the R3, the battle between Sauteur (Clio) and L. Zambon (DS3) came to an end when the Lot-et-Garonnais, in the lead on Saturday evening, made an error following imperfect recce; falling back from the scratch, he is just ahead of his brother (106 F2/13). Exploit of Idiart, imperial, placing his Saxo Vts at the head of group N. J. Teitgen

Ranking: 1. Hirigoyen-Ségure (Ford Fiesta) 1h00’55’’ (1er Gr. R), 2. Duigou-Nicaise (Mitsubishi Lancer Evo 6) at 20” (1er Gr. A/FA), 3. Radet-Nicoleau (Peugeot 208) at 1’45’’, 4. Lacouture-Reigniez (BMW 318i Compact) at 2’33’’(1er Gr. F2000), 5. Sauteur-Millac (Renault Clio 3RS) at 3’55’’, 6. Idiart-Challa (Citroën Saxo Vts) at 4’22’’(1er Gr. N/FN), 7. Roget-Dupleix (106) at 4'25'', 8. Y. & L. Simian (Lancer Evo 6) at 4'41'', 9. L. Zambon-Boyer ( DS3) at 4'59'', 10. J. Zambon-Ducom (Citroën Saxo Vts) at 5'22'', … 19. Magot-Chaves (Audi TT 180) at 12'11'' (1er GT), etc.
