Coming at the initiative of friends from the region, David Salanon lived up to his status as favorite by dominating this great classic of the northern calendar head and shoulders. The only one able to follow his pace at the start of the race, the Belgian Allart (Skoda Fabia WRC) disappeared too soon. Outgoing quadruple winner, Bayard, completely freed on Sunday lunchtime from the threat posed by Moullan, handed in his logbook at the finish of the final special. As a result, the British Hendy and Coffey, fighting until the last meter, were both able to get on the podium. In the S2000 club, Fauguet took the lead over Saint Requier while Lapouille won in group R, for his return to asphalt. The exit of the sparkling Heuninck reshuffled the cards in group N. Leduc finally emerged victorious from a duel with Perrard. In F2000, Thérache, leader after the withdrawal of Perrin, fell in the final to the benefit of Lance.
