Contested on the roads of Nord Pas-de-Calais around Samer, the Final of the 2015 French Rally Cup offered breathtaking suspense until the finish of the final timed section. In the lead since SS3, Dominique Rebout (Peugeot 207 S2000) had a comfortable lead of more than fifteen seconds before the last special, but his engine finally betrayed him a few kilometers from the goal.
Jérôme Galpin, leader on Friday evening, did not ask for so much and came to reap success, after having suffered the domination of Rebout during the day on Saturday, and despite a final scare, with engine problems in the last kilometers. Michel Morin, second, also pockets Group R at the wheel of his Ford Fiesta R5 and is ahead of Johan Vanson (Mitsubishi Lancer) who wins Group N.
