Saturday on the 18 km of the first short stage, Pougnant is already 30” ahead. He precedes Brunet (306) and Burnens (DS3 R5) separated by 4/10ths. On Sunday, he knocked out the competition at a pace that left his closest pursuer at 2” per kilo! The quality was there with a number of R5s and S 2000s against which, behind, Brunet fought like hell. Receiving a 20” penalty for being late at a time check (mechanical), he leaves 2nd place to Burnens by 10”.

Starting from 15th place, Saturday evening, the Chambérian Abric, native of Vigan, is working hard to return to the foot of the podium, preceding Constanty (Skoda) who is resuming the competition and the young Vivens (DS3 R3) who is following in the footsteps of his father , victorious in R3 ahead of Rocher. Janel, 4th overall after SS 4, gives up (mechanical). If Pougnant confirmed real talent, the other performance of rally is to the credit of Soulier who hoists his venerable 205 to 9th place in the scratch.
