Pierre Roche (Ford Fiesta WRC) retired at the end of the first special of the Rally du Rouergue (Midi-Pyrénées) following a mechanical problem. Jean-Marie Cuoq (Citroën C4 WRC° is the first leader tied with Olivier Marty (Focus WRC), while Éric Brunson (Fiesta WRC) follows 2 seconds ahead of Jean-Michel da Cunha (C4 WRC). Yoann Bonato (Peugeot 208 T16 R5) is 5th ahead of Sylvain Michel (207 S2000) and Pierre Ragues (DS3 R5).
