Having reached the podium of the last French Rally Cup contested partly on the same route, Johan Vanson imposed his brand new Mitsubishi Lancer R4 at the end of a race full of twists and turns. Christiann and Barbara had fired first with their WRC in the dry before the rain came to confuse the issues in the last loop of the first stage. Leader at the restart, the Fiesta driver made a mistake in SS8, losing command to Vanson who for his part had carried out an almost decisive offensive for victory. In a final twist, Barbara hit the final stage and lost 2nd place by a second to Christiann. Behind Saint Requier (4th), the groups F2000 were highlighted. After Perrin's fireworks, Lance and Legrand delivered a nice fight to the youngest's final asset. Winner in group N, Debove secured valuable points for the next meeting in Lunéville. B.Sailly
