Rouergue – SS2: Cuoq puncture

Jean-Marie Cuoq (Citroën C4 WRC) was slowed down by a puncture in the 2nd special of the Rally du Rouergue (Midi-Pyrénées) while he was leading the race with Olivier Marty (Ford Focus WRC), author of the scratch on the course who took sole control. Éric Brunson (Fiesta WRC) and Patrick Rouillard (Porsche 997 GT3 Cup) retired due to mechanical problems.

Jean-Michel da Cunha (C4 WRC) climbs into 2nd position less than 6 seconds behind Olivier Marty, while Yoann Bonato (Peugeot 208 T16 R5) took advantage of the retirement of Éric Brunson to take 3rd place ahead of Sylvain Michel (Peugeot 207 S2000) and Pierre Ragues (DS3 R5) despite brake problems. Jean-Marie Cuoq fell outside the top ten after losing more than 3 minutes.
