Stéphane Sarrazin (307 WRC) is the first leader of the Rally du Rouergue after having signed the scratch in the Campouriez special. Jean-Marie Cuoq (Focus WRC) set the best time in the Sainte-Eulalie special and moved up to second place, just four seconds behind the driver. Peugeot . Jean-Michael Da Cunha (C4 WRC) completes the top three just four tenths behind the Ford. Dany Snobeck (C4 WRC) follows at 12 seconds, less than two seconds ahead of the 207 S2000 of Cédric Robert. Lionel Baud is sixth with his 307 WRC and is followed less than three seconds by the 207 S2000 of Freddy Loix who is only 30 seconds behind the leader.
