Great performance from Quentin Giordano (Volkswagen Polo GTI R5) in the fifth timed sector of the Rally du Rouergue, third event of the 2021 French Asphalt Rally Championship.

Leader since the retirement of Yoann Bonato, the Sarrazin Motorsport driver dominated this SS5, on a degraded course compared to the first pass, in 18'07″2, 8″6 ahead of Eric Camilli (Citroën C3 Rally2) and 18″4 ahead of Ludovic Gal (VW Polo GTI R5).

So much so that in the general classification, Giordano has a 16″ margin over Camilli before the final SS of the day, Wagner now standing at 1'03″7. Ludovic Gal returns to the latter for the fight for the podium, with 1″ of margin between the two drivers.

Note the exit of Nicolas Latil (Citroën C3 Rally2) before the famous ES bump, which would hinder passage.
