The leader of this Rally of Sardinia Ott Tänak left nothing to chance in this first special of the afternoon where he beat his closest pursuer by more than 6 seconds.

Sardinia – SS14: Tänak hits hard

Ott Tänak (Hyundai) is on a mission in this Rally from Sardinia. Looking for his first victory of the season, the Estonian seems to be heading straight for it. The world champion has just set a 4th fastest time this Saturday by taking the best time of SS14 with a 6″ lead over his closest pursuer, Kalle Rovanperä (Toyota).

An excellent operation for Ott Tänak, more than ever leader of this Sardinia Rally. Thanks to this special victory, the Estonian now relegates Craig Breen (M-Sport) at 37″2. Pierre-Louis Loubet (M-Sport) also had a good SS14 as he came back only 10″3 from provisional 3rd place held by Dani Sordo (M-Sport).
