Le rally of Great Britain began in earnest today with the “shakedown”. Mads Ostberg (Ford Fiesta RS WRC) and Kris Meeke (Mini John Cooper Works WRC) stood out by setting the best time, nine tenths of a second faster than Sébastien Loeb (Citroen DS3 WRC). Mikko Hirvonen (Ford Fiesta RS WRC), fighting with the Alsatian for the 2011 world title, only achieved the 8th fastest time, tied with Kimi Räikkönen.
