Sweden, SS1: Tänak wide awake
Le Rally of Sweden 2022 begins with a Nordic affair. The world champion WRC 2019 Ott Tänak (Hyundai) a réalisé le meilleur temps devant Kalle Rovanperä (Toyota), chargé de balayer les pistes verglacées.
The son of the 2003 world champion Petter Solberg, Oliver Solberg (Hyundai, 20 years old), set a nice third time just 1'' behind his Estonian teammate. " Not so bad ! I had a lot of problems with shifting gears. It’s going to be a full-on rally,” predicts the Swede.
Thierry Neuville (Hyundai) is the only non-Nordic to hold on to fourth place (+1”8). Responsible for competing in a clean rally, Adrien fourmaux (Ford) remains cautious and loses 23”1, almost as much as his teammate Gus Greensmith (victim of failed braking).
