Sweden, SS4: Evans new leader

The sun returned to the Umea region for the second loop of the Rally de Suède 2022 ce vendredi 25 février.

In this second pass, all the competitors took six studded tires with them (2 spare tires in the trunk). The fear of premature wear as well as contact with stones or earth under the ice layer explains this cautious tactic.

The appearance of the event was once again turned upside down. Starting as a leader but also with the responsibility of opening the road, Kalle Rovanperä (Toyota) saw all his rivals beat him in the widest range thanks to the sweep of the field.

As for Kalle Rovanperä, he is even threatened by Ott Tänak for the challenge of 4th position (1 tenth difference). Thierry Neuville (Hyundai), victim of electrical problems in the morning, is 6th but only 10'' behind Elfyn Evans.
