Terre de Lozère – Franceschi in master’s degree

Winner of the first three rounds of the season, Mathieu Franceschi (Fabia Rally2) perfectly honored his status as leader of the French Championship by mastering the first stage of the Terre de Lozère. The Fayence driver won five best times out of six possible before returning to Mende with more than 20 seconds ahead of his pursuers.

The only one able to stop Franceschi in his quest for a scratch, Florent Todeschini (Fiesta Rally2) occupied provisional second place ahead of Benjamin Clémençon who was making his mark at the wheel of the Polo GTI R5. 

The Top 5 was completed by Manu Gascon (C3 Rally2) and Éric Rousset (C4 WRC).

Terrence Callea (208 Rally4) finished this first day at the top of the two-wheel drive classification ahead of Jean-Baptiste Franceschi (Clio Rally4), in addition to his leadership in the Stellantis Motorsport Rally Cup. 

After mechanical setbacks at Castine then at Langres, Mattéo Chatillon (Clio Rally5) was more than 20 seconds ahead of Florian Bouchonneau (Clio Rally5) in the Clio Trophy France Terre.

Tomorrow, four special stages are on the program including the 23 kilometers of Born, justice of the peace of rally, which will be contested twice.
