This is not Eric Brunson's year at Le Touquet. The driver of the Ford Fiesta RS WRC had a puncture in SS9 (Bourthes – Wicquinghem) and dropped more than 4'53" from the best time established once again by the other Fiesta RS of Julien Maurin. The leader is ahead of Quentin Gilbert (Citroën C4 WRC) by 4″9 and Pierre Roché (Mini JCW WRC) by 17″3.

Overall, Maurin further consolidates his lead over Gilbert with a 56″9 gap between the two men. Pierre Roché recovers 3rd place, 1'46″8 from the lead and 49″9 from second place. Lionel Baud (Ford Fiesta RS WRC) is 4th, despite a collision, and Eric Brunson falls to 7th place, more than 6′ behind. The outgoing three-time winner also encountered engine power problems but should continue his rally.

In the Michelin Trophy, Jean-Charles Beaubelique always dominates the debates by gradually taking time from his closest pursuer Gilles Nantet (Porsche 911 GT2). Marc Amourette (Citroën DS3 R3) was forced to retire after the famous crossing of the Bourthes ford. Stéphane Lefebvre remains leader in 208 Rally.
